A manuscript is the unpublished, edited version of a work, submitted by an author (you!) to a publisher (us!). Now, creating a manuscript is a delicate process. Don’t rush it and take your time writing your story and developing your characters. Enlightened Publishing will still be here after your work is finished.
The hard part isn’t the actual writing itself, but the editing process. Once your story is complete, ask for feedback! Show your friends, family, teachers, anyone who will lend an ear and hear what your vision is! Then, go back and edit your work as many times as you need to until it’s perfect (as perfect as it can be)! This might seem like a hard process but nothing worth doing is ever easy. The world needs to hear YOUR story! Make sure it comes through right!
Now, it’s our turn! On our website, click where it says “submit book”. There, you will see an application that asks for your name, age, and other information. Remember, this is classified and your information will not be given to outside sources. Next, submit the online version of your work! (Preferably a PDF file).
This is one of the hardest parts, we know. But don’t worry! Our dedicated staff is constantly screening and reading through manuscripts and we promise to give everyone a fair chance at being published! Look in your email for a message from us and we will tell you the status of your application. Be patient and pat yourself on the back for all the hard work you’ve done! We’ll be in touch!
